A Texas federal district judge granted a joint motion to transfer a patent infringement case against Victoria’s Secret & Co., over the brand’s website reminding shoppers of merchandise they previously considered, to the Southern District of Ohio.
Recog IP LLC accused Victoria’s Secret of using a registered patent on its website in a September suit filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas. The company alleged its registered patent that reminded shoppers of previously viewed items when they visit new pages was used on the lingerie company’s site.
