Victoria’s Secret & Co. is facing a proposed class action alleging it was negligent in failing to protect the personal information of hundreds of thousands of customers in a May data breach.

The women’s clothing retailer breached its duty to implement adequate data security measures and failed to properly train staff or comply with industry-standard data-handling practices, according to a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
