Veteran Sues Over Ban on Political Material at Retirement Home

A retirement home for veterans unconstitutionally instituted a ban on political material during the 2024 election cycle, a resident and vocal supporter of President Donald Trump alleged Tuesday.

US Navy veteran Johnny Fuselier says in his proposed class action complaint that the Armed Forces Retirement Home, led by Chief Operating Officer John S. RisCassi, violated the First Amendment by implementing and enforcing the ban. Fuselier alleges the ban, which went into effect in 2023, remains in effect today.
