Cellular Link filed the suit in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Wednesday, saying it owns wireless architecture technology that Verizon operates without license. The technology allows base stations to assist each other in processing and transmitting signals.
Verizon also induced employees and customers to infringe its patent because it operates local stores in Texas that advertise the 5G network, Cellular Link said.
