Verizon Faces Patent Suit Over 4G, 5G Base Stations Technology

Verizon Wireless was hit with a patent infringement suit over its 4G LTE and 5G base stations, nodes, and related network equipment and services.

Plaintiff Headwater Partners II LLC alleges Cellco Partnership, doing business as Verizon Wireless, and Verizon Corporate Services Group Inc., are violating two of its patents.

Patent number 9,094,868, registered with the US Patent and Trademark Office on July 28, 2015, is entitled “User equipment link quality estimation based on positioning.” Patent number 9,413,502, registered with the USPTO on Aug. 9, 2016, is entitled “Backhaul assisted by user equipment.”
