VeriSource Services Hit With 10 Lawsuits Over 2024 Data Breach

Employee-benefits administrator VeriSource Services Inc. is facing 10 proposed class actions alleging it negligently failed to protect the personal information of millions of people in a 2024 data breach.

The company discovered the breach in February 2024, and began providing notice to around 112,000 affected people in August 2024, which triggered the filing of four proposed class actions against the company in the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas over the ensuring two months. The plaintiff in one of those suits later voluntarily dismissed his case.
