Health care technology firm Veradigm agreed to pay at least $10.5 million to settle a class action alleging its negligence harmed millions of people, as evidenced when the company determined cybercriminals accessed its servers.
All class members would be eligible for two years of medical data monitoring, and their choice between reimbursement of up to $5,000 in documented losses or a small cash payment without supporting evidence, according to a motion seeking preliminary approval in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
