Vera Bradley Sues Urban Outfitters Over Copyrighted Pattern

Clothier Urban Outfitters Inc. copied a feather pattern design created by Vera Bradley Inc. in a line of blouses sold at Anthropologie, Vera Bradley alleges in a new lawsuit.

Vera Bradley sued Wednesday, alleging that Urban Outfitters sold blouses that infringed on copyrighted design without a license. Vera Bradley’s feather pattern, a collage of multi-colored painted feathers on a white background with accents of black, bears striking similarity to the pattern on the Urban Outfitters garment, the complaint said.
