Vanderbilt, Lesbian Medical School Professor End Sex Bias Suit

Vanderbilt University has agreed to resolve an orthopaedic surgeon’s allegations of sex discrimination, according to a court order.

Dr. Ginger Holt, a gay woman, said that Dr. Rick Wright, the chair of her department, had heterosexual men replace her in senior positions she held, and criticized her efforts to diversify the department, according to her complaint filed in the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
