UScellular Must Face Class Suit Over Voluntary Churn Statements

United States Cellular Corp., two of its officers, and its majority owner, Telephone and Data Systems Inc., failed to convince a federal court to dismiss a class action alleging that they made false statements about a promotion to combat voluntary churn of its products.

Howard M. Rensin sufficiently pleaded that the officers said that they were satisfied with the 2022 promotion, even though they knew it wasn’t working, Judge Mary M. Rowland said Nov. 1 for the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
