The government on Friday sued a couple in federal court, claiming they accrued over $2 million in unpaid federal income taxes between 2016-2022.
The US filed its complaint against Manuel Aranda, Jr., M.D. and Melissa Marie Aranda in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas, El Paso Division, to foreclose on federal tax liens against their real property.
The complaint alleges that despite earning significant income as an emergency room physician, Dr. Aranda failed to pay income taxes for over a decade. His wife, a realtor, also failed to pay taxes during this period, the government says. ...
