US Intelligence officers sued the Trump administration challenging the president’s DEIA executive order related to merit-based opportunities, which they say has caused them to be placed on leave and to likely be fired Tuesday.

The personnel actions occurred or are suspected to soon occur “apparently only because of their temporary assignments to personnel functions involving” diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility, even though they’re nonpartisan civil servants and in some cases didn’t have DEIA-related duties, the lawsuit said.
