US Bank Defeats ‘Highly Offensive’ Pixel Tracking Privacy Suit

US Bancorp convinced a federal court to dismiss an online tracking complaint that alleged its incorporation of Meta Platforms’ Pixel on its website was an highly offensive privacy intrusion.

The injuries the plaintiff asserted were insufficient to confer standing, according to the US District Court for the District of Minnesota. He failed to specifically describe what information he provided to US Bank, and that the Pixel was active when he did, Judge Jeffrey M. Bryan said.
