US Attorney’s Office in DC Launches Environmental Justice Unit

The US Attorney’s Office of the District of Columbia has created an Affirmative Civil Rights and Environmental Justice Unit in the Civil Division, the Justice Department said Monday.

The unit will investigate and enforce federal civil rights and environmental laws within the district, according to the DOJ. It will also conduct regular community outreach about civil rights and environmental justice concerns.
