US Asked to Update Status of Efforts to Restart Refugee Program

The Trump administration was ordered by a federal court to report its efforts to restart refugee settlement programs after a judge blocked an executive order that suspended their funding.

The US must provide a description of the steps it’s taken to restart overseas adjudications; to facilitate approved refugees’ travel to the US; to insure that the refugees receive settlement support upon arrival in the US; and, to reimburse private organizations for funds they spent under agreements with the government to help settle the refugees.
