US All Star Federation, Cheer Coach to Face Sex Abuse Claims

The U.S. All Star Federation—a national organization regulating youth cheerleading—and a California cheerleading coach must face some claims brought by a former competitive cheerleader alleging the USASF-credentialed coach sexually assaulted her as a minor, a federal court ruled.

Plaintiff E.M.'s 2023 lawsuit against USASF and Shawn Miller was trimmed Friday by Judge Otis D. Wright II of the US District Court for the Central District of California, with some of her claims nixed and other surviving motions to dismiss from USASF and Miller.
