UPS, Fired Black VP Agree to Dismiss Race Discrimination Claims

United Parcel Service Inc. and a Black former UPS vice president have ended her claims that the company fired her after promoting a less qualified White woman to the same position she had held.

A federal district court in Atlanta granted the parties’ motion for voluntary dismissal of the case on Wednesday, one day after they agreed to end Malika Terry’s claims against UPS with prejudice, with each party bearing its own fees and expenses.
