United Parcel Service Inc. dodged a proposed class action alleging it violated requirements regarding the use of consumer reports in hiring new employees.
Brittany Wynn alleged that UPS violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act by including extraneous information on the disclosure it provided employees indicating it might obtain their consumer report, but Judge Charles R. Breyer of the US District Court for the Northern District of California disagreed in a Wednesday opinion.
