The University of Vermont and State Agricultural College didn’t violate the First Amendment rights of a Palestinian student organization by temporarily suspending it for its part in a campus protest over the war in Gaza, a federal court said.
The decision to suspend University of Vermont Students for Justice in Palestine was based on its violation of valid campus rules, Judge William K. Sessions III said Dec. 20 for the US District Court for the District of Vermont.
