UnitedHealth Unit Reopens Fight Over $750 Million Insurer Deal

A UnitedHealth Group Inc. unit filed suit in Delaware against the former owners of a business it bought for $750 million, reopening their dispute over an eight-figure post-closing adjustment, about seven weeks after the state’s top court ruled against the insurance giant in a related case.

The lawsuit, docketed late Thursday in Delaware Chancery Court, targets Shareholder Representative Services LLC, the legal entity that won the earlier case on behalf of the former shareholders of USHealth Group Inc., which was acquired in 2019 by UnitedHealth subsidiary Golden Rule Financial Corp.
