United HealthCare Must Face Two Classes in Junk-Call Lawsuit

A cell-phone user can represent two classes of consumers in a class action alleging United HealthCare Services Inc. violated of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, a federal court ruled.

Plaintiff Frantz Samson showed his claims were typical of the classes, that he was an adequate class representative, and that common issues would predominate over individualized issues in the litigation, Judge Marsha J. Pechman of the US District Court for the Western District of Washington said Oct. 13.
