United Healthcare Defeats Suit Over Tracking Tools on Website

United Healthcare Services defeated a proposed class action alleging it disclosed the personal health information of website visitors to third parties in violation of state and federal privacy laws.

Lead plaintiff Joanne Magliocca failed to allege a concrete injury sufficient to establish her standing to sue in federal court, Judge William B. Shubb of the US District Court for the Eastern District of California said Tuesday.
