United Airlines Sued Again Over Voluntary Buyout Programs

United Airlines Inc. is facing another proposed class action claiming it mishandled recent voluntary buyout programs by failing to pay recent retirees their full benefits, according to a federal complaint filed in Los Angeles.

The lawsuit, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, accuses United of breaking a 2017 promise to employees that they’d be able to receive benefits under any voluntary separation program offered within three years of their retirement.
