Labor union Unite Here must face most claims of a proposed federal class action alleging it failed to protect the personal information of more than 790,000 people that was exposed in an October 2023 data breach.
Michelle Puller-Soto and Tamiko Conway alleged in the consolidated lawsuit that Unite Here, a union representing hotel, gaming, and restaurant workers, failed to implement reasonable data-security procedures to protect members’ sensitive data or provide adequate and timely notice of the breach.
