UniFirst Sexual Harassment Suit Revived Over Client Reassignment

Workwear giant UniFirst Corp. must defend against a customer service employee’s hostile work environment claims in New Jersey even though she quit her job.

The New Jersey Superior Court Appellate Division ruled Monday that the company reassigning the plaintiff to new clients, instead of reassigning the boss she accused of harassment, could be enough to sustain a discrimination lawsuit under the state’s Law Against Discrimination. The appeals panel revived the case after the trial court dismissed it.
