Under Armour Sued After Ransomware Group Reports Data Breach (1)

Under Armour Inc. was hit with a Texas customer’s proposed class action filed after ransomware hackers announced that it obtained hundreds of gigabytes of data from the sports apparel company.

Orvin Ganesh said that Under Armour was negligent in protecting the personal information of customers and employees, according to his complaint filed in the US District Court for the District of Maryland. The complaint said Under Armour itself has not acknowledged the breach, despite the Everest ransomware group publishing sample stolen data to prove their claims in November.
