UN Rapporteur’s Family Sues Over Sanctions on Her Over Work

The daughter and spouse of UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese sued the Trump administration for sanctioning Albanese for commentary related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The sanctions violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and Albanese’s rights under the First, Fourth, and Fifth Amendments, according to a Wednesday complaint filed to the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
