UN Rapporteur’s Family Gets Early Relief From Trump Sanctions

The daughter and spouse of UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese secured a preliminary injunction against the Trump administration’s attempt to sanction Albanese for commentary related to the Israel-Palestine conflict.

Trump officials are barred from enforcing Executive Order 14203—which labeled Albanese as a designated foreign national—or taking any related action against US citizen and minor L.C. and her father, Massimiliano Cali, Judge Richard J. Leon of the US District Court for the District of Columbia said in a Wednesday order.
