Two University of Massachusetts health care entities reached a deal to resolve wage-and-hour allegations stemming from a cyberattack that disrupted third-party timekeeping system Kronos.
Workers accuse UMass Memorial Medical Center Inc. and UMass Memorial Health Care Inc. of failing to timely pay proper wages while the Kronos system was down. The $1.2 million settlement, which includes attorneys’ fees, provides at least $50 for each worker claimant, they told the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
