A consumer dropped his proposed class action alleging the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth negligently failed to protect the personal information of more than 75,000 people exposed in a data breach.
Lead plaintiff Matthew Miller filed a notice of voluntary dismissal Thursday in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

- One other lawsuit against the university over the data breach was voluntarily dismissed July 24, but a third remains pending in the District of Massachusetts
