A consumer filed a notice of voluntary dismissal in the last remaining federal lawsuit alleging the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth negligently failed to protect the personal information of thousands of people that was exposed in a 2025 data breach.
Lead plaintiff Tavia Stinson filed the notice Aug. 30 in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Plaintiffs in two other suits against the university filed notices dropping their suits July 24 and Aug. 7, respectively.
