Ukrainian Tycoons Exit Steel Plant Cash Laundering Claims (1)

Two Ukrainian tycoons, who lost a $1.9 billion bank fraud case in London this year, have escaped claims in Delaware alleging they stole millions from an investor and laundered money through an Ohio steel plant before stripping it for parts.

Vice Chancellor Nathan A. Cook dismissed shareholder claims against Igor Kolomoisky, Gennadiy Bogolyubov, and Ukraine’s PrivatBank, along with multiple related business entities, in a bench ruling Tuesday.

A former business partner can’t repeat the same claims he’s been bringing against them for years in courts worldwide, and he waited too long to file them in Delaware, Cook said.
