UCLA Rose Bowl Football Dispute Must Be Heard in Open Court (1)

University of California, Los Angeles must fight allegations that it’s improperly trying to move home football games away from Pasadena’s Rose Bowl Stadium in open court, a judge ruled.

Judge Joseph Lipner of California Superior Court, Los Angeles County, denied UCLA’s motion to compel arbitration of the lawsuit brought by the city of Pasadena, which accuses UCLA of improperly backing out of its agreement to hold games at the Rose Bowl Stadium until 2044, and readying to hold games at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood instead as early as this upcoming football season.
