UCLA Must Protect Jewish Students’ Access to Campus Areas (1)

The University of California at Los Angeles has been ordered to ensure that Jewish students have access to ordinarily available programs, activities, and campus areas, according to a California federal district court.

“Jewish students were excluded from portions of the UCLA campus because they refused to denounce their faith,” said Judge Mark S. Scarsi of the US District Court for the Central District of California in a Tuesday order. " This fact is so unimaginable and so abhorrent to our constitutional guarantee of religious freedom...UCLA does not dispute this.”
