UChicago Medicine Medical Group was hit with a proposed class action amid the fallout from Nationwide Recovery Services Inc.'s July 2024 data breach.
Plaintiff Alta Young said that UChicago’s health system is the “largest provider of medical care on the South Side of Chicago,” but that the group and NRS failed to sufficiently protect the data of patients and guarantors, according to the complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
