UChicago Medicine Patient Drops Nationwide Recovery Breach Suit

A UChicago Medicine Medical Group patient has dropped her proposed class action against the health system and its debt-collection vendor Nationwide Recovery Services Inc. over a 2024 data breach that exposed 38,000 patients’ information.

Lead plaintiff Alta Young filed a notice of voluntary dismissal Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
