Uber, Lyft Lose Bid for California Arbitration Ruling Review (2)

Uber Technologies Inc. and Lyft Inc. won’t get the chance to send to arbitration California’s claims that the rideshare companies misclassify workers, as the California Supreme Court denied their request Wednesday to review an appellate decision against them.

Justices during their weekly meeting denied Lyft and Uber’s petitions for high court review of the lower court’s Sept. 28 ruling rejecting company arguments the state should be compelled to arbitrate civil enforcement actions.
