Uber Technologies Inc. failed to stop Seattle’s courier deactivation law, which Uber says restricts free association by forcing the company to keep food couriers that are unsafe or unreliable active on its platform.
Uber has not identified “any likelihood of success” on the merits of the three claims it identified, said Judge Marsha J. Pechman of the US District Court for the Western District of Washington, who on Dec. 31 denied the plaintiffs’ motions for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction.
