Tyson Workers Clear Hurdle Toward Vaccine Mandate Damages Trial

A group of Tyson Foods Inc. employees should have a right to a jury trial to determine damages over the food giant’s Covid-19 vaccine requirement, which ultimately pushed them from their jobs, a magistrate judge recommended.

Tyson announced in August 2021 that all employees, absent sincere religious belief or documented and approved disability accommodation, would have to take the Covid-19 vaccine, a requirement that remained in effect until October 2022.
