Tyson Foods Hit With Class Lawsuit Over Worker Covid Vax Mandate

Tyson Foods Inc. “predetermined” that it would place employees with religious objections to complying with its Covid-19 vaccination mandate on unpaid leave before even receiving their religious exemption requests, a new class lawsuit alleges.

The company followed that process despite stating that it would first entertain telework, job transfers, or other potential accommodations for workers with disability- or religious-based vaccination concerns before resorting to offering unpaid leave as an accommodation, Sarah Pearson says in a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.
