Twitter Investors Suing Elon Musk Granted Class Certification (1)

Thousands of Twitter investors received class certification Friday in their lawsuit alleging Elon Musk fueled uncertainty about his proposed buyout of the company to drive down the stock price.

Judge Charles R. Breyer said he was satisfied that the plaintiffs met the federal standards for class certification during a motion hearing at the US District Court for the Northern District of California. He appointed Cotchett Pitre & McCarthy LLP and Bottini & Bottini Inc. as the class counsel and Nancy Price, John Garrett, and Brian Belgrave as the class representatives.
