Twitter Hack Suit by Saudi Dissident Gets Thrown Out on Appeal

X Corp. persuaded a US appeals court Wednesday to nix a lawsuit from a Saudi dissident alleging Twitter negligently failed to stop Saudi kingdom operatives from accessing his account.

The negligence claims are barred by California’s two-year statute of limitations because Omar Abdulaziz had “reason to discover” them by 2016 but didn’t file until 2019, a divided Ninth Circuit said.
