Human rights advocates convinced a federal district court to block President Donald Trump‘s executive order sanctioning the International Criminal Court’s top prosecutor.

The US government is enjoined from imposing civil or criminal penalties on the plaintiffs under Executive Order 14203, which put restrictions on Americans who work with the ICC, Judge Nancy Torresen of the US District Court for the District of Maine said in a July 18 order, granting the advocates’ motion for a preliminary injunction.
