Trump Sued Over FEMA’s Shelter Funds for DHS Released Migrants

Washington state sued the Trump administration Friday accusing officials of unlawfully terminating more than $4 million in federal funding designated to provide shelter and aid for migrants released from government custody.

The complaint, filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington, challenges the government’s decision to slash the Shelter and Services Program under the Federal Emergency Management Agency designated by Congress to reimburse local entities for migrant support costs.
