Trump-Pardoned Nikola Founder Milton Targeted by Contempt Motion

Trevor Milton, the Nikola Corp. founder convicted of fraud and pardoned by President Donald Trump, is refusing to pay his $2.5 million share of a settlement returning funds to the failed electric truck startup, a court filing says.

Nikola’s bankruptcy trustee asked a Delaware Chancery Court judge to hold Milton in contempt, saying he’s refused to pay the overdue sum despite months of empty promises and half-baked negotiations about partial payment. “Milton has not paid a dime, and he has offered no valid excuse,” according to the May 15 filing. “He simply chose not to follow through.”
