Trump Ordered to Update Court if Transgender Troop Ban Enforced

President Donald Trump must notify a federal district court if the Department of Defense issues any policy guidance implementing his executive order banning transgender people from serving in the military, a judge ordered Wednesday.

Judge Ana C. Reyes of the US District Court for the District of Columbia said in a short docket entry that she would entertain a motion for a temporary restraining order against the president “should any action be taken against” US military members suing Trump over the ban. A preliminary injunction hearing is set for Feb. 18.
