Trump Loses Skirmish in Fight Over Federal Funding Freeze

President Donald Trump lost an effort Tuesday to temporarily stop one of the cases testing his power to freeze trillions in federal funds.

The US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit denied Trump’s request for an administrative stay of the Rhode Island district court case while the appeals court considers whether to pause the lower court’s Feb. 10 order blocking the freeze.
