A request to preliminarily stop Trump administration Cabinet members from using auto-deleting Signal messages and to recover messages that were already deleted was mostly denied by a federal court.
The lawsuit didn’t show that the agencies’ recordkeeping programs are inadequate, that the court can provide redress for already-deleted messages, or that record preservation is an available remedy, Chief Judge James E. Boasberg of the US District Court for the District of Columbia said June 20.
