Trump Appeals Order Releasing University of California Funding

The Trump administration Tuesday appealed an order by a California federal court requiring it to release hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funds and grants to the University of California system.

The appeal to the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit seeks to reverse the preliminary injunction order that sided with a group of faculty and employee unions who alleged the administration was using to funding cuts to target free speech and research.
