Administration Ignoring Biden-Era Labor Order, Unions Say (1)

The Defense Department and General Services Administration are allegedly ignoring a Biden-era executive order requiring labor agreements for large-scale construction projects, according to lawsuit filed Wednesday.

The agencies have said they won’t comply with the 2022 executive order concerning the construction of large-scale projects, said North America’s Building Trades Unions, the construction arm of the AFL-CIO. And they “have instructed their contracting officers to take actions directly contrary” to the order, NABTU and its Baltimore-Washington, D.C., affiliate alleged in their complaint filed in the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
